Start address: Lander's River Mart, 23 A Dorrer Drive, Callicoon NY 12723
Finish address: Lander's Skinners Falls Campgrounds, 40 Skinners Falls West, Narrowsburg, NY 12760. Shuttle service is provided before the race only.

WHEN: Sunday, July 13, 2008

WHY: This race is a fund-raiser for the Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon. All proceeds benefit the Youth Center. In 2007, the Callicoon Canoe Regatta raised $3,200 for this cause.

DETAILS: The Tenth Annual Callicoon Canoe Regatta is the largest canoe race on the Upper Delaware River. It starts at Lander's River Trips in Callicoon, NY and ends near the Interstate Bridge at Skinners Falls, NY – a course of 7.5 miles. A variety of classes accommodates paddlers of all levels. (See the entry form for race details.)

First, second, and third place winners receive medals, and winners receive caps.

High School Challenge class -- team up with someone from your high school and race against teams from other high schools. Winners receive trophies and year-long bragging rights!

And don't forget to enter the kayak raffle – you may be bringing home a new kayak!

FOOD: Buy lunch at Lander's River Mart or Campgrounds, Matthew's on Main in Callicoon, or bring your own food & refreshments. Callicoon has several good restaurants to serve all palates!
